Mahalia was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. Prior to joining Litco Law, she dedicated her career to working in the disability sector, fostering her passion for advocacy and client care. Now, she leverages her unique background to provide compassionate and comprehensive support to clients in the legal industry. Outside of work, Mahalia is passionate about the martial art of Muay Thai, where she actively trains, competes, and coaches. When she’s not working or training, Mahalia enjoys spending time with her fiancé and two dogs, Summer and Onyx. They love exploring the mountains, snowboarding, camping, and embracing new adventures together. Mahalia embraces Litco Law’s Core Value of Empathy. Jessica Burma

Client Care Specialist

Jessica was born and raised in Kelowna, BC. She graduated from Vancouver Island University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology. She worked in Community Corrections for six years prior to making the move to beautiful Calgary. Jessica has previous work experience in mental health, addictions, recreation, and public libraries. In her free time, Jessica enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, traveling, thrift shopping, and listening to live music. Brooklynn Druhar

Client Care Specialist

Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Brooklynn completed her Social Service Work diploma at the local Confederation College. She has called Calgary home for nearly three years and hit the ground running in various areas of the Social Work field, including youth and adolescents in group homes, mothers and babies fleeing domestic violence or homelessness, and adults with mental health and addictions. Brooklynn enjoys her free time by reading, spending time with her family and friends, travelling, and trying new things to keep busy. Virgillia Chicoine

Virgillia was born and raised in Calgary and lives with her husband Mitch and two large and loveable Bernese Mountain Dogs – Geoff and Gus. She was previously in the fitness industry before transitioning into client care positions in the cosmetic tattooing industry and now the legal industry. Luciana Cogalniceanu

Luciana was born in Romania, lived in Greece for several years, and is fluent in Romanian, Greek, and English. She eventually moved to Canada in 2012, spending two years in PEI before moving to Calgary to complete her Justice Studies Diploma. Luciana loves spending time with friends and family, adores nature, and would love to travel the world someday. Samantha was born in Ontario but was raised in Calgary from the age of two. She has been involved in sports her whole life- playing volleyball for the SAIT Trojans while completing three separate diplomas in Business Marketing & Management, and Hospitality Management. She has transitioned into the legal industry after spending years working in hospitality. When not at work, Samantha is likely spending her spare time with friends and family or searching for a new DIY project to create. Meredith Hundert

Meredith was born in Nova Scotia and spent her younger years growing up in Chester before moving to Calgary at the age of 7. Meredith completed her degree in Social Work at Thompson Rivers University. Since then she has worked within many sectors such as post secondary institutions, mental health, and with children and families before moving over to work within the legal industry. In her free time Meredith loves spending time outdoors whenever she can, especially out at the ranch with her horse, Tiamo. Charmaine Valencia

Charmaine was born and raised in the Philippines and earned her bachelor's degree in Tourism Management with honors in 2015. Following graduation, she dedicated herself to an extensive career in the hospitality sector, accumulating over eight years of experience. At the age of 26, she decided to embark on a new chapter and relocated to Calgary. She enrolled at The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), majoring in Travel and Tourism, and graduated in November 2023. Ready for fresh challenges, she seized the opportunity to join Litco Law as a Client Care Specialist. In her leisure time, she indulges in binge-watching TV series, reading, dining out, and traveling. She also has a keen interest in capturing moments through photography. Although she is a small-town girl at heart, Allyson has become adapted to big-city living! Allyson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society because she is passionate about sociolegal issues impacting marginalized communities. She brings multifaceted experience from both the healthcare and law enforcement professions. In her spare time, Allyson can be found practicing yoga, baking sourdough, and volunteering with youth throughout the city. Her greatest joy in life is gathering people around her table and making sure that everyone who enters her home is well-heard, well-loved, and well-fed.
