Litco Law Named One of the Top Personal Injury Firms in Canada

May 4, 2015

Personal-Injury-Seal-2015-16Canadian Lawyer Magazine has named Litco Law as one of the Top 10 Personal Injury Boutique Law Firms in Canada for 2015-16. This is the first time that an Alberta law firm has made the prestigious list, which is released biannually. The process began with Canadian Lawyer compiling a comprehensive list of nominees. In an online survey, lawyers from across the country are asked to rate the nominees in several categories. The process also includes a series of confidential interviews conducted by the magazine with lawyers who work with and refer work to the firms on the long list. The results of the surveys and the interviews are used together by the editorial team to determine the Top 10.
“We were happy to be nominated in the first place,” says Fredric Litwiniuk, Litco Law’s Director of Business Development and Marketing. “We are incredibly honoured to make this list, and to be in such great company.”
Founded in 1976 by Larry and Marianne Litwiniuk, this Calgary-based firm adheres to a simple set of principles: client care, service, trust, and hard work. From humble beginnings, Larry and his wife and office manager Marianne turned a one-room office into Calgary’s largest boutique personal injury firm, serving clients across Alberta. It’s now a second-generation family business: daughter Holly does the firm’s social media, and sons Todd and Fredric are among the firm’s 9 lawyers, with Todd serving as Managing Partner.
“To be recognized in this way by Canadian Lawyer and its readers is fantastic. And to be the first Alberta Personal Injury firm ever included in the Top 10 is even better – we’re proud to represent our province” says Todd. “We’re going to keep doing what we’ve been doing – taking care of our clients – because that’s what we believe in and what has always worked for us. We have such a great team, and they’ve all worked hard to make this happen.”
The firm is known for putting the personal in personal injury lawyers; community initiatives, charity work, volunteerism, and team culture are as important to the firm as doing excellent legal work.
